Cookies Policy

etme.gr · Version 1.0 · Last updated: 14 September 2026

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (e.g. pixels, local storage, identifiers) serve comparable purposes. They are used to operate and secure the website, remember your choices and – where you consent – for statistics. Cookie identifiers, IP addresses and device data may constitute personal data and are not automatically anonymous.

2. Legal framework and consent

The use of cookies is governed by Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (as transposed into Greek law), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Recommendation 1/2020 of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA). Functional cookies operate without consent. All other categories (Preferences, Statistics, Marketing) are activated only after your affirmative consent and are not pre-selected. You can withdraw or change your choices at any time, as easily as giving consent.

3. Cookie categories we use

These match the categories shown in our consent banner:

  • Functional (always active): necessary for the operation and security of the website and for storing your privacy choices.
  • Preferences: remember choices you have requested.
  • Statistics: measure website use and performance. Our statistics are collected in anonymous form on our own server.
  • Marketing: advertising / remarketing (after consent, only where used).

5. Providers, international transfers and safeguards

The website is delivered through Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), our CDN and security provider. In this context technical data (e.g. IP address) may become accessible from the USA. This transfer relies on the European Commission adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR), under which Cloudflare is certified, and additionally on Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46) included in our data processing agreement with Cloudflare. A copy or description of the safeguards is available on request. For general data processing, your rights and contact details, see our Privacy Policy.

6. How to manage cookies

You can accept or reject the non-essential categories and change your choice at any time via the “Cookie Settings” option on the website. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings; some features may be affected.

7. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when technologies or providers change. The current version and update date appear at the top. This Cookie Policy supplements and cross-refers to the Privacy Policy.
